Account Engineers, bringing many years’ experience in plant/project managers or process engineers, work closely with Underwriters, Risk Modellers, Actuaries and Torus’ insurance Brokers to design competitive and innovative specialty insurance solutions that fit the particular and sophisticated needs of our clients.

We combine bespoke information technology development to market leading applications to ensure systematic and consistent risk exposure assessment with real insight for clients and their brokers. The transparency of our Risk Quality Rating modules provide with a sound basis for benchmarking, risk improvement, as well as many other risk management initiatives.


Torus Risk Engineering is structured globally into six Engineering Practices (“Hubs of Expertise”) – General Property, Onshore Energy, Mining & Minerals, Offshore Energy, Power Generation, Civil Engineering - to ensure consistent standards and best practices are considered and applied to risk assessment in the context of the specific characteristics and requirements of our clients’ operations.
