Senior Account Engineers – General Property

Germany / France / Switzerland

This role can be either homebased or based in our offices in Cologne, Paris or Zurich.

The Account Engineer will assist Torus’ clients in their loss prevention efforts and provide risk assessment advice to the Underwriting teams.  Primary duties will be to prepare desktop assessments for underwriters, perform site surveys and attend meetings with insurance brokers and clients.

Requirements – We are interested in engineers with strong technical expertise in fire protection and HPR loss control.  The successful candidate must have a good understanding of complex manufacturing processes, as well as the associated hazards, preferably from prior insurance engineering experience.

It is also important that the candidate has multi lingual capabilities with German, French and English as primary language skills. Any other language skills, particularly Italian or Spanish would be advantageous. 

The candidate must also be used to working in a multinational environment and willing to travel worldwide (max. 30%) and have very good report writing skills.  Interpersonal skills must also be strong as is a willingness to work in a team environment.
